Tying the knot on the MS Vindobona
Weddings are held aboard the MS vindobona, a river boat designed by artist Friedensreich Hundertwasser. The ceremony lasts 30 minutes and is performed on the main deck while boat is at anchor, after which it leaves for a 90-minute cruise on the Danube Canal. Embarcation is at Schwedenplatz or the Reichsbrücke, as required. The boat can accommodate between 60 and 160 persons and is thus ideal for a party after the wedding ceremony. From Monday to Friday the entire boat has to be chartered from DDSG, weddings take place at 6.30 pm. On Saturdays the wedding ceremony begins at 9 am. |
